CHASE CORPORATION ACQUIRES CONCOAT HOLDINGS LIMITED

Bridgewater, MA,- October 17, 2005
Chase Corporation (AMEX:CCF) of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, USA has acquired all of the capital of Concoat Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries of Camberley, Surrey, England for approximately US $9,000,000 (£5,000,000). The deal does not include the equipment portion of the Concoat business known as Concoat Systems which was spun off prior to Chase’s acquisition.

Bridgewater, MA – January 22, 2004 – Chase Specialty Coatings announced today that it has combined the marketing and development for Pipeline Corrosion Control Products manufactured by Evanston based Tapecoat and Pittsburgh’s Royston. The agreement includes field-proven specialty tapes, mastics, epoxies and accessories used as corrosion prevention on oil, gas and water pipelines. A new focus on each company’s patented processes and products will encourage the manufacture of innovative corrosion control products for distribution and transmission pipeline protection.
